Ryan combines his background in education with decades of experience helping businesses and individuals build projects from conception through launch and growth phases.
Ryan Niemann was born and raised in Kirkwood, MO. He attended Saint Louis Priory School, followed by the University of Toronto. In Toronto, Ryan studied Physics, History, Philosophy, and Medieval Studies graduating in 2007 with degrees in those subjects. Ryan completed a Masters in Educational Technology from Webster University in 2013.
Ryan taught high school students Medieval Arts and History at Saint Louis Priory immediately after university. Eventually Ryan would go on to teach Computer Science, ultimately becoming the Department Chair for the Computer Science Department at Priory. Ryan introduced new courses at Priory, including entrepreneurship and future technologies (artificial intelligence, robotics, ethical use of technology).
As an eighth grader, Ryan founded Elemodo Software which he still operates today. Elemodo specializes in the rapid development of startup projects, and has also provided entire technology stacks to companies, universities, and even government agencies. Ryan has worked on over forty startup companies and has served as CTO in many of them. Recently Elemodo has focused on helping Saint Louis area projects, and has been helping develop the startup industry in the area.
Ryan currently serves on the Board of Cardinal Glennon Children’s Hospital, CTO/Technology Lead of multiple entities, and is active in the Saint Louis startup scene.
